This year the Design Museum will be hosting the UK’s first retrospective of the work of French shoe designer Christian Louboutin. The exhibition will not only showcase his extraordinary shoes and their vertiginous heels, but will also explore the design and manufacturing process. The visitor will be able to trace the journey of a Louboutin shoe from sketchpad to shop display, as well as marvel at the works themselves and the glamour and creative excess for which Louboutin is a byword.
