Exactly Like Poetry: Typography a la Mode
A new menswear collection by celebrated Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten was displayed against a background of live-action typographic virtuosity in Paris. Five painters decorated a vast mural the length of the catwalk with the designs of Dutch typographer Letman and artist Gijs Frieling. The artists also designed some of the textile patterns, which vividly recalled the patterns of their art.
Take a look here for a high-speed, panoramic video of the creation of the typographic mural from the first few steps up the ladder to the completed work.
