Korea-born Jinhwan Kim from the Maryland Institute College of Art has produced a couple of stimulating and remarkable works. His modular typographic sculptures make a virtue of their geometrical limitations, at once blunt and playful, while his Spinning Type transforms stable Roman letters into a set of whirled, hypnotically distorting forms.
