Gallery Libby Sellers: Richard Hollis
Gallery Libby Sellers will be holding an exhibition of the work of the hugely influential graphic designer and design thinker Richard Hollis from 23rd March. Hollis has produced over 50 years of rigorous and independent-minded work, as well as being responsible for a wealth of design-related scholarship.
His most recent book Swiss Graphic Design: The Origins and Growth of an International Style 1920-1965 was published by Laurence King in 2006. The exhibition, curated by Emily King, will draw on Hollis’s entire creative life, from personal collages made in the 1950s, through his politically committed design from the ’60s and ’70s up to his recent work with artist Steve McQueen on the project For Queen and Country.
