Designer Bookbinders are holding their 7th annual exhibition of exquisite bookbinding from their society members and invited binders. There will be over 80 beautifully bound books on show from around 40 of Britain’s best bookbinders, with everything from traditional leather-bound hardbacks to more experimental and contemporary binding methods on display too. A selection of the bound books will be for sale, ranging from a modest £60 to a splurge at £6000. A nice reminder of the traditional craft of bookbinding in this evermore digital and mechanised day, the exhibition is a celebration of books and the handmade, a step beyond your standard issue paperback.
