HEXASTRUCT
Jean-Michel Verbeeck is a Belgian graphic designer and visual artist who uses striking geometry and 3-D structural elements in his video installations. The hexastruct “Hexagonal Video Mapping – Augmented Sculpture” depicts a visual illusion of massed cubic forms. The playful cubic patterns alter their shape and texture to create mesmerising visual sequences.
His style recalls Op-Art and E. M. Escher’s depictions of impossible worlds – ingenious visual illusions and the mathematical representation of dancing planes on a surface.
