LATES at Science Musuem, London
This Wednesday’s LATES over-18 event at the Science Museum, London, is dedicated to the future and promises good vibrations, with bars, discos, talks and tours.
Make your very own jet boots or fashion-forward tunic with Suzi Stow from Ooh La La; make maths-art with Kimbo Silver; or if you’re feeling hot, try speed dating, future-style; and if you need to space out, grab a headset and bop along in the Silent Disco.
Plus there are presentations; James Hawthorne from Consortium ponders why the promise of flying cars and robots, as visioned in mid-century cartoon, “The Jetsons”, never materialised. Meanwhile, Lawrence Marazzi, director of Agility Saietta Motorcycles, discusses the future of urban transport. Add to the mix all the museum’s inspiring exhibitions and rides, open for an over-18 audience, and it sounds like the kind of night to make you want to go back to the future.
Information can be found at The Science Museum’s website; look for the link to a PDF for the event.
