Nicolas le Moigne: A Celebration of Juxtaposition
Acclaimed Swiss designer Nicolas le Moigne has his first solo show in London at Gallery Libby Sellers from 8th February. Le Moigne graduated in 2007 from ECAL University of Art & Design Lausanne, and is now a professor there.
The exhibition will feature a broad range of his work, including some of his elegant and immaculately crafted Podium furniture, jewellery for the Austrian firm A.E.Koechert and Public Clock, first made for the City of Geneva in 2006, which displays the time (and why should that seem strange?) written out in words.
Take a look here at a video following the production of Le Moigne’s Trash Cubes, a collaboration with Swiss manufacturer eternit to create a collection of stools from recycled fibre cement Each piece is unique, depending on how it gets compacted in the mould.
