24/08 → 24/08/2011 / The Mill Co. Project, London
There’s something in the air at the beginning of autumn that makes starting up a new hobby seem rather appealing – perhaps because spending the weekends lightly sozzled in the sunshine is no longer an option. If you’ve suddenly developed a desire to learn a new skill, you’re in luck, as The Mill Co. Project in London’s East End is now open for business with a regular programme of workshops. Based in a beautiful old Victorian building overlooking the Regent’s Canal, The Mill Co. Project was established as a social enterprise venture to support London’s growing freelance design community, and as part of that mission it offers workshops and tuition in a variety of different activities ranging from pinhole photography to dynamic yoga. On this week is the Don’t Tell Stories Creative Writing workshop, a themed fortnightly event that offers budding writers the opportunity to develop their craft and explore the world of creative writing through a variety of exercises, discussions and presentations. Look out on our iPhone app for more information on individual events at The Mill Co. Project – we’ll be adding them as they’re announced.
