The Art Directors Club Annual Awards is now in its 90th year. The ADC Annual 90 was designed by Pentagram’s Paula Scher and riffs on a Cube theme, with straight cubes, shaded cubes, a jumbled agglomeration of cubes and a solid-looking black cube, like a three dimensional Malevich square. The designs are an interpretation of the categories of work, from Hall of Fame (rolling cubes) to Photography (pixel-like cubes), and Pentagram are justly proud of the result. Pentagram are involved in the design of a number of annuals this season – for D&AD, the Type Directors Club and the Society of Publication Designers.
