Born in Switzerland in 1956, Melchior Imboden began by studying and working as an interior designer/architect until 1984. During this time, he discovers the passion for photography and typography that will lead him to enroll again in graphic design studies at the Ecole d’Art of Lucerne.
Since then, he works as an independent graphic artist and photographer both in Switzerland and abroad. His cultural posters have earned him numerous awards. In 1998, he became a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), and in 2006 he became the the president of the agency’s Switzerland operations.
