Typographic Monarchy
We were so excited to see this typographic exploration of the English Monarchy; an limited edition of 20 copies and exquisitely screenprinted with fluoros and metallics.
Monarchy by Melissa Price
Follow the monarchy line from present Elizabeth II all the way back to William the Conqueror’s 1066 reign. Monarchy reveals historic facts with ease thanks to Melissa Price’s wonderful colour-code system, which efficiently sorts information about family name, nationality, religion, marriage and succession – the stuff we should have remembered from school. The sophisticated simplicity of the typographic concept makes the factual information engaging and most importantly, memorable. This is a great way to visualise history and it’s endless facts. If only our school books had looked like this, maybe we’d remember our history facts a little easier.
