Here’s the first in an interesting series of animations from recent Graphic Design graduate Matt Box. Acid Drops is a new project exploring the physical mechanics of skateboarding, where designer Matt Box chose to express the fluidity of the street sport with a fluid material, combining watercolour paints with a rotoscoping technique to create an animation. The first video focuses on professional skateboarder Jason Dill, and aims to capture his own individual skateboarding style in the series of hand-painted renderings that combine to make the animation.
