Runway Route
Since concluding the printed incarnation of Amelia’s Magazine several years ago, Amelia Gregory’s certainly kept herself busy – as well as nurturing an extensive online version of the magazine, she’s also ventured into the world of book publishing with Amelia’s House. Her first publication, Amelia’s Anthology of Illustration, set a brief for its contributors to illustrate inventive and outlandish solutions to climate change, and her second continues in this socially- and environmentally-conscious vein. Amelia’s Compendium of Fashion Illustration , published at the beginning of this year, contains the work of thirty up-and-coming young fashion illustrators alongside a selection of profiles of the industry’s leading ethical fashion designers.
This month, Amelia is embarking on a book tour with a difference to celebrate her Compendium’s release – in a variety of arts-related venues across the UK she’ll be giving talks, holding portfolio crits, hosting networking events and offering craft workshops. To find your nearest event, check out the schedule below and don’t forget to book – and keep an eye out this week for Amelia’s contribution to our regular Five of the Best feature, as she selects five illustrators from the book whose work has particularly caught her eye.
