Wim Crouwel Early Work 1957 to 1963
Want the chance to get your hands on a pristine, original Wim Crouwel poster? Then don’t miss the Wim Crouwel exhibition in Clerkenwell this April. Maybe we’re a little bit biased as the exhibition takes place at Grafik’s home (aka Woodbridge & Rees), but we reckon this is the first time such a great collection of posters by Mr Crouwel has been available for some time. The show is in two parts—Early Work 1957 to 1963 and Stedelijk Museum Work 1963 to 1969.
There will be twenty-three posters on display in each section, all of which are available to buy. There are some well-known gems as well as lesser-known treasures by the endlessly innovative designer, all key pieces from the canon of Dutch graphic design. The exhibition runs alongside the Design Museum’s show Wim Crouwel: A Graphic Odyssey (30 March–3 July), so fans of Mr Crouwel can satiate themselves with a double dose of work by perhaps the world’s most respected living graphic designer. Total pleasure.
